Raspados El Kinki’s is now open and is located at 1901 Northwest Blvd., Suite O-2, in Plaza Latina. The restaurant offers a wide variety of Mexican street foods including crepes, waffles, bagels with cream cheese, fruits, milkshakes, smoothies, hot chocolate, shaved ices, and coffee.

Owner Blanca Karina Coronado said she has wanted to open a business for a long time and with the help of two longtime friends and Javier Chavez, she was able to accomplish her goal.

“There are a lot of people interested in this area, and there is a lot of traffic here,” Coronado said. “I’m looking forward to growing my business and serving my customers.”

Coronado said she hopes Raspados El Kinki’s will become a place where customers can not only sample great food, but also enjoy spending time. The dining area has foosball and air hockey tables, and a large television is available for customers to watch shows and movies they like.

Newton Mayor Anne P. Stedman welcomed Raspados El Kinki’s to the city during the ribbon cutting.

“We’re happy to you’ve chosen Newton as the home of your new business,” she said. “We wish you much success.”
